lineup and details for shakers on fri 30th may 2014
Continuing its first season as the newest and most versatile venue in North Manchester, the Bath House Theatre is preparing to stage the next production by North West Theatre Arts Company (NWTAC). ‘Shakers’ is the female response, to the highly acclaimed ‘Bouncers’ also penned by John Godber.
After the sell-out success of ‘Bouncers’ in 2012, it was only a matter of time before NWTAC tackled its sister play. The witty play is centred on the lives, loves and losses of four, long suffering cocktail waitresses Carol, Adele, Nicky and Mel from the ‘Shakers’ night club. The audience also meet the stereotypical ‘yuppies’, ‘business men’ and ‘check out girls’ all getting ready for their night out.
With a great soundtrack as a nod to the decade that brought us ‘The Spice Girls’, ‘Take That’ and ‘East 17’, the play will transport audiences back to the pounding club scene that defined an era.
‘Shakers’. The trendiest 90’s cocktail bar. Get on the guest list now. Book early to reserve your table.
