Born as Lucas Cornelius van Scheppingen, Laidback Luke is a Dutch music producer and DJ. While growing up in The Netherlands, Laidback Luke became a well known graffiti artist long before he found his calling in music. In 1998, Laidback Luke released his debut studio album Psyched Up, which was followed in 2002 by his second album titled Electronic Satisfaction. Laidback Luke's music has gained him the recognition of a variety of electronic music sources, and in 2010 he was voted number 17 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list. Laidback Luke has had a long career, and numerous singles, remixes, edits, unofficial reworks and bootlegs have come out of his journey through the world of electronic music. With singles like "Killing The Kitchen", "Ambition" and "Leave The World Behind" and remixes of songs like Daft Punk's "Creschendolls", Chromeo's "Fancy Footwork" and Coldplay's "Viva La Vida", Laidback Luke has truly made a name for himself in electronic music.
