56th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony

On Friday night in Los Angeles, in the theatre "Nokia", were announced the nominees for the most prestigious music’s award in the world – Grammy Awards. Award is given from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in the United States for the greatest year achievements in music. The 56th award ceremony will be held on January 26, 2014 in Los Angeles.

One of the most popular according to the number of nominations is Mr. Shawn Carter. Rapper Jay-Z has all the chances to take nine awards. Behind him are Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams with seven nominations. And Daft Punk Drake can take home five Grammys.

For the award "Best Album of the Year" will fight the main electronic record Random Access Memories – favourite robots from France and good kid, m.A.A.d city from Kendrick Lamar. One of the best pop-duo/group performance can be Suit & Tie of Justin Timberlake with Jay-Z, or this summer hit “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk, with the participation of Pharrell and Nile Rodgers.

It will be interesting to watch for those, who will get the award for "Best New Artist of the Year". Here broke out the competition between James Blake, who received this year's Mercury Prize, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and a couple of other artists.

Also among the nominees for the Grammy are: Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Robin Tike, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lana Del Rey, Diclosure, David Bowie, Kanye West, Led Zeppelin, Jack White, Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala and many others.
