Named after a notorious drug trafficker, Florida born rap star Rick Ross has been creating a stir in the hip hop community since the 2006 release of his debut album Port of Miami. Recently named MTV's Hottest MC In The Game, Rick Ross' first 2 albums, Port of Miami and Trilla, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. These enormously successful albums were followed by Deeper Than Rap, Teflon Don and God Forgives, I Don't and through these 5 albums Rick Ross has become a superstar in hip hop music. In 2009, Rick Ross became the first artist to be signed by rap mogul Diddy's music label Ciroc Entertainment. He has released popular singles like "Here I Am", "This is the Life" and "Push It" and has gone on tour to play in concert with fellow hip hop music stars Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj. While Rick Ross has been notorious for both his brushes with the law and his feud with 50 Cent, his popularity in the music world only increases with each passing year.
