Born May 24, 1955, Rosanne Cash is a singer and songwriter and author who is the oldest daughter of the legendary Johnny Cash. Cash's music is influenced by a variety of genres such as pop, folk and blues, but usually she is classified as a country musician. Since beginning her career back in the late 1970s, Cash has released 11 studio albums which have produced a total of 11 number one country hits including her biggest hit to date, 1981's "Seven Year Ache". Cash has been nominated for a total of 9 Grammy Awards while winning one in 1985 for the song "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me". Along with creating chart topping country singles that she has performed in concert while on tour, Cash has also written numerous books, including a few aimed at children.
