Lucky Date
Even with an alias like Lucky Date, Jordan
Atkins-Loria had to hustle hard to carve out his own space
in the electronic dance music world. His diligent devotion to the
craft has recently begun to payoff in a big way though. With an
inimitable progressive house sound, he’s become a sought-after
artist and remixer, drawing the attention and endorsement of
everyone from David Guetta and Tommy
Lee to Porter Robinson and
Excision. However, it’s taken a lot more than luck
for him to get here.
Since growing up in San Francisco,
rhythm has fueled Jordan’s life. At five-years-old, he picked up a
drum set and instantly immersed himself in music. During high
school, production became his passion. While at an after school
program, he learned how to make his own beats and utilize Reason,
even selling tracks to local kids for a whopping twenty bucks a
pop. An eye-opening experience occurred just before his relocation
to Chicago for college though.
Nom De Strip
After much success with his previous moniker, Stupid Fresh, producer Chris Elliott started his his solo project “Nom De Strip” in 2009. Chris has since gone on to release many underground hits, and more recently has put out two acclaimed EP’s – Clouds EP Vol 1 and Vol 2 – as well as an official remix of Tommy Trash’s ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’. All these tracks finding their natural home on deadmau5′s highly successful mau5trap label imprint.
Nom has been hailed as one to watch by industry heavyweights such as deadmau5, Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash, Dada Life and Dirty South. The producer was greeted with massive support from deadmau5 in 2012, leading to a string of remixes under the mau5trap label. Recent key tracks include ‘The Nothing’, ‘Swagnum P.I.’, and a remix of mau5′s ‘Channel 42′, both tracks having a meteoric impact online.
Florian Picasso
Florian is a Picasso. And he’s an enigmatic talent with a flair for dance music. At only 23 years old, this Frenchman has been playing in some of the best clubs in Europe since he was 16, opening for Swedish House Mafia in Palais, Cannes, having his own parties at Queen Club Paris and Bypass Geneva and headlining next to Fatboy Slim, Showtek and Joachim Garraud.
In Picasso’s productions, precision and rhythm come together as one. With past productions catching the attention of tastemakers on a global scale, his name is one that is lingering on everyone’s lips. As Picasso finishes his first real piece of art – his upcoming album – he’s keeping his fans on their toes by putting out some of the first sketches of his new music.
Let the new era of Picasso begin. Introducing: Florian Picasso.
