James Blunt back on course for 2014 Newmarket Nights
THREE YEARS AFTER WOWING THE RACECOURSE CROWDS DURING THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF ADNAMS NEWMARKET NIGHTS, SINGER-SONGWRITER AND MUSICIAN JAMES BLUNT IS RETURNING TO THE JULY COURSE.
The announcement of his appearance for the second concert of the 2014 season – on Friday 27th June – follows the bookings of Tom Jones and Wet Wet Wet.
Adnams Newmarket Nights attract over 100,000 visitors to the Home of Racing every year and those who were at the racecourse in July 2011 will recall how James Blunt enthralled fans with his performance.
The star, who spent a lot of his childhood in East Anglia and whose uncle worked for The Jockey Club, rose to prominence nine years ago with the release of his debut studio album ‘Back to Bedlam’ before achieving worldwide fame with the singles ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Goodbye My Lover’.
His second album ‘All the Lost Souls’ topped the charts in more than 20 countries. To date the artist has sold nearly 17 million albums and 20 million singles worldwide.
Now the former army officer who, as a member of the Household Cavalry loves horses, is on his way back to the open-air concert setting of one of the most picturesque racecourses in the world, with demand for tickets set to be strong once again.
