Jon Lord's 'Classic meets Rock' featuring the talents of David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Tony Ashton, Ray Fenwick, Pete York and Eberhard Schoener. Filmed at the time, this magical moment in Jon's brilliant career was the concluding Event of Prix Jeunesse International 1974 (a Foundation by the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Munich and Bayerischer Rundfunk) and was the Eurovision Broadcast to 21 Countries of 'Rock meets Classic' on 1 June 1974. Put together by Jon's management (Deep Purple Overseas) and promoter Erich Promoli, this special event was just one of many classical projects that Jon Lord undertook through the mid '70's.
