Located between Shibuya and Daikanyama, Air was opened in 2001, and has a capacity of around 800. The main dance floor on the B2 floor is equipped with a sound system mainly featuring Ray Audio equipment, and techno and house artists from both Japan and overseas are known to play regularly. In addition, a lounge can be found on the B1 floor. The club has also developed a label where artists who have familiar ties with Air, such as Derrick May, Francois Kevorkian and Dixon have released mix CDs.
