Sweet, stompy simplicity is just what the doctor ordered this week, and Laenas Prince delivered. I missed the release date by two months (basically an eternity in dance-music years), but when I stumbled across it after doing a little digital digging, great googly, it made me wanna slap my mama. Enormous kicks, razor-sharp hats, and a giant rubbery bassline that sounds like it’s soaked in chloroform make “Rhythm Luther” a mind-melting moment on the dancefloor. I can’t wait to see what this does to a crowd when it’s slammed through a top-notch system. Yowza!
