Yo Gotti is an American rapper from Northern side of Memphis, Tennessee was born Mario Mims. Yo Gotti whose first stage name was Lil Yo has an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. Yo Gotti’s music career began in 2000 when his independent album, From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game was released and his self-explanatory album in 2001. He later became very popular in Memphis after the release of his 2003 album, Life. Yo Gotti’s "Dirty South Soldiers" featuring Lil Jon propelled him higher ranks of Memphis rappers. His 2006 album, Back 2 da Basics with its two singles including "I Got 'Em", "Full Time", "Shawty", and "Gangsta Party” which featured 8Ball and Bun B made him one of the top rappers from the city. On May 20, 2009, Yo Gotti’s original first single titled "5 Star" from his first studio album called Live From The Kitchen was released. The single peaked on the Hot 100, 19 on U.S R&B and 11 on U.S Rap. The second single, "Women Lie, Men Lie" featuring Lil Wayne was released on December 11, 2009 peaked at 81 on 100, 22 on the U.S R&B and 12 on the U.S Rap. The third single, "Look In the Mirror" released on n July 27, 2010 peaked at 97 on the U.S R&B chart. The album, Live From The Kitchen which sold 16,000 copies in its first week and sold36, 000 copies after three weeks in the United States debuted at number 12 on the US Billboard 200. In 2012 Yo Gotti left RCA Records & Polo Grounds Music due low sales of his debut album. In the same year Yo released the 7th version of his well known mixtape series Cocaine Muzik entitled "Cocaine Muzik 7: The World Is Yours". In 2013 Yo and his label CGM signed a distribution deal with Epic Records from longtime business partner L.A. Reid. The song "Act Right" which featured Young Jeezy and YG from his second studio album, I Am was released for Rhythmic contemporary radio airplay on June 25, 2013. Yo Gotti has also officially joined his Grand Hustle Records label on June 25.
