Musical with vampires…scary or funny?
The composer of American television series "True Blood" Nathan Barr plans to turn it into a musical ("True Blood: The Musical").
He announced this information on the premiere of the final seventh season of the series in Hollywood on June 17. Barr noted, that in the center of the film plot will be the main character – a waitress and telepath Sookie Stackhouse.
"I think we try to go back to the origins of history" - Barr added in a statement. Composer plans present a working version of the project next year. According to him, the idea of a musical continuation of "True Blood" was inspired by vocal success of one of the key actors of the show Stephen Moyer. In December 2013 he played in the TV version of the Broadway musical ‘The Sound of Music’, which featured NBC channel.
Series with elements of horror and black humor "True Blood" began broadcast on HBO September 7, 2008. It is based on the novel series of "The Vampire Secrets" written by Charlaine Harris, and telling of a small town whose inhabitants are not only ordinary people but also vampires. Series itself was twice nominated for the award in 2008 and 2009.
