Billy Corgan recently celebrated his 47th anniversary. Immediately after the celebration, the musician announced through the official website good news for fans – team plans to release two albums in 2015. The plates were called "Monuments to an Elegy" and "Day for Night". In addition, the first single Corgan hopes to publish little bit later this year.

Producer of the new material will be Howard Willing  who started work with The Smashing Pumpkins in 1998 during the recording of the disc "Adore". Fans will be able to monitor the recording process via the website "The Panopticon", where Billy Corgan promised to publish the names of songs, texts, images, sounds and more.

Last full studio album of The Smashing Pumpkins - record "Oceania" - was released in 2012.
