American , Grammy Award-winning songwriter, artist, set designer, multimedia artist, writer, collector and director Allee Willis said such wise words about her new song: "We achieved our goal of rallying the city". She decided to create a special song and dedicate it to Detroit city. "The D" song will appear in 2015.

Willis added that song "The D" will be created ‘in the spirit of September’ because this composition she wrote for Earth, Wind and Fire.

The upcoming  record and video is about the human spirit as exemplified by the people of Detroit.

"The D" captures thousands of Detroiters singing, playing, dancing, clapping, whistling, juggling hubcaps, etc.
