Will Smith thinking about shooting in science-fiction thriller about people with the extraordinary abilities(“Brilliance”), where the actor will play the main role. The film’s director will be starting her career Julius Onah.

The plot is adapted from the eponymous bestseller written by Marcus Sakey. It is the story about the world in which, since 1980, one percent of people born with supernormal abilities. Someone ‘reads’ people on how they stack up hands, the other one can become invisible. The main character is federal agent Nick Cooper. His talent – an outstanding ability to catch terrorists. Nick will face in mortal combat with the most dangerous criminal in the world (also from the ‘super’ men), who is trying to foment a civil war.

The screenplay was written by David Koepp, who was director of “Secret Window”, “Stir of Echoes”, “Premium Rush” and screenwriter of “Angels and Demons”, “Jurassic Park”, “Panic Room”.

The film will be financed and filming by Universal and Legendary Pictures studios. The period of work on the project has not yet specified.
