TIM MCGRAW

One of the most famous country singers known today and a part time actor, Tim McGraw was born Samuel Timothy McGraw on May 1, 1967. Tim McGraw started playing guitar and singing in college at festival and bars for tips until 1989 when he decided to drop out of college and pursue a musical career in Nashville. In 1990, Tim McGraw signed a record contract with Curb Records releasing his first record Tim McGraw in 1993. The music video for the song off that record called Welcome to the Club earned Tim his first Male Video Artist of the Year Award from Country Music Television. Since that time, Tim McGraw has released 17 albums that sold over 40 million units, with eleven consecutive albums reaching number one on the Billboard charts. Tim has won three People’s Choice Awards, ten American Music Awards, three Grammys, fourteen Academy of Country Music awards and eleven CMA awards. Twenty-one of his singles have been in the Billboard Hot Country Number One spot. Touring with his wife Faith Hill on the Soul2Soul II tour earned them the highest grossing concert tours in the history of country music.

Ranked by Billboard as the 39th best artist of the 2000-2010 decade, Faith Hill is a country singer who has won the hearts of millions of adoring fans throughout her career. Along with winning the hearts of fans, Faith Hill's music has also won her the prestigious recognition of winning 4 Grammy Awards, numerous Academy of Country Music Awards and various other awards like People's Choice Awards, American Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, and she even has the great distinction of being a part of the best selling concert tour of all time with the 2006 Soul2Soul Tour, which was a series of shows she played with husband Tim McGraw. Faith Hill's career being in 1993 with the release of her debut album "Take Me As I Am" which produced her first number one hit "Wild One". Her next album, "Faith" was released in 1998 and it was considered a breakthrough album in which Faith made the leap to mainstream music success while still retaining her country music sound. Then, in 2005 she released the popular album "Fireflies", which was her third consectutive number one album. Faith Hill still remains as relevant and popular as ever in the U.S., and is soon to conquer Australia for the first time ever when she joins husband Tim McGraw to play the CMA Rocks the Hunter Festival in early 2012.
