Biography Elena Temnikova

Elena Temnikova is a Russian singer, the front-woman of a Russian girls-band Serebro in the past. TV host and designer Elena was born on the 18th of April 1985 in Kurgan. She started taking music seriously at the age of 10. When she came to Moscow in the winter of 2003 year she took part in the 'Star Factory' show on Channel One where she came in third place. She's taken part in the 5th season of 'The Last Hero' TV show, played a key role in the 'Airport' musical at the MOST theatre and has been the host of a detective-love show 'Realnaya Liubov' ('The Real Love'). In the beginning of 2006 Elena and her producer formed the band Serebro. She took an active part in the castings for its members and became the band's one and only front-woman. In March 2007 Channel One selected Serebro to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest, where the band finished third. This successful start for the band made it popular not only in Russia but also in a number of European countries. The debut single 'Song #1' headed the Russian and radio chart and entered official single charts in Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Latvia and the UK.

After being awarded for 'The Best Debut' at RMA 2007, the audience of MTV Russia recognized SEREBRO as the best band of the year in 2008. TNS Gallup Media recognized SEREBRO as Stage Performer #1" in the Opening of the Year category. In addition, according to the research company, the group entered the list of "15 most popular domestic singers of 2007 year." Then there were chart tops with songs “Song # 1", “Dishi”, "Opium", “Skaji ne molchi”, “Sladko". The audience of the concert-presentation of the album "OpiumRoz" was about 70 000 people. In the spring of 2008 a new song "Opium" (English version - «Why») gets airtime on leading radio stations across the country. In November 2008 a new song “Skaji ne molchi”, was aired on the radio and in December it headed the Russian radio chart, becoming the third radio single of the band to get to top of the charts, and the fourth single in a row in the top three, as the song “Dishi” rose to second place. The single also headed the Russian radio chart for 13 consecutive weeks.

In November 2008 Serebro received an award at MTV Russia Music Awards as "The Best Band". In 2010 SEREBRO were nominated for the prestigious European "MTV Europe Music Awards" in the following category: "The Best Russian Band" for their superhit “Ne vremya”. In 2011 SEREBRO receive the Ukrainian "Golden Gramophone" and get nominated for the award of a Russian music channel RU.TV. The big success in Europe, Latin America and Asia brought the band a platinum album and leading positions in absolutely all leading charts of the planet. In 2013 year three music videos for the following songs came out: «Mi-Mi-Mi», “Malo tebya” and "Ugar." The latter was nominated in the "Best Duet" category at "Muz-TV2014. Evolution". On May 14th a new single “Malo tebya” premiered on a Russian web portal TopHit. The track has got into the official charts of Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Poland.

On July the 14th Lena Temnikova, as the result of her collaboration with Marmalato, announced the launch of a line of accessories 'by Lena Temnikova'. From the 1st of December more than 100 of shops across Russia will offer Lena's fans an opportunity to buy jewelry designed entirely by the singer. September the 9th marked the launch of the 'Music Charts of Lena Temnikova on Rutube', in collaboration with Gazprom-Media, featuring weekly celebrity interviews, behind-the-scenes footage from photo and video sets, as well as online video premieres. On October 3rd Elena launched a joint project with a popular Russian online portal for women Woman.ru, featuring her own column.
