Live Jazz London - Thump Festival 2014: The Richard Bona Quartet (plus Mind The Baby)
Tonight his quartet features the highly talented threesome of Etienne Stadwijk (keyboards); Ludwig Alfonso (drums) and Tatum Greenblatt (trumpet).
Cameroonian bass genius Richard Bona has worked with Randy Brecker, Zawinul Syndicate, and the Pat Metheny Group. He is also a highly accomplished singer/songwriter; composer; bandleader and digital and analog engineer/producer with a singular artistic vision.
Support tonight comes from Mind The Baby - a heady cocktail of international musicians making its mix of cultures one of the quartet's many strengths. In the studio they have developed a sensational variety of sounds which easily translate into their pulsating live performances - creating fascination for the listener via an extraordinary density of sound, catchy melodies, and the culture of their musicianship. Mind The Baby present fusion jazz in a dynamic new light!
