James Franco “Child of God”
Two films are adaptation of novels. “As I Lay Dying” – William Faulkner's work, which motifs Franco took to shot his own film and the novel by Cormac McCarthy, who called modern Faulkner.
In Cormac Franco borrowed the basis for the novel in 1973, “Child of God”.
The film tells about the life and fate of Lester Ballard, who lost his parents and his own house. After that he spent many years behind bars, and that's why the hero goes free. He soon realizes that he did not have any friends or people to love in this world. Gradually, he rolled to the level of a caveman, which is increasingly degraded by society and soon easily goes to the violation of laws and moral principles. He is cruel and merciless.
Franco as always played a role in his own film – a resident of the city, which has rallied citizens in search of a maniac hiding in the forest, and his victims. First film was presented at the Venice Film Festival. Simultaneously with the premiere at Sundance appeared a new trailer for the film in the network.
