Sale of Marilyn Monroe’s lost archives

"The Lost Archives" of Marilyn Monroe will be sold on December 6 in Beverly Hills (USA) at the auction ‘Julien's’.

The collection includes about 300 items: letters, photographs, paintings, clothing and even bra of the famous actress.

But the more interesting are letters of the second Monroe’s husband, baseball player Joe DiMaggio, written in 1954, immediately after the press conference of Monroe, where she announced about their divorce. DiMaggio did not want to leave her and asked the actress for a second chance, "I love you and want to be with you. Nothing I would not so much as to restore your trust in me"- wrote DiMaggio.

In addition, at the auction will be sold gifts and letters from the third husband of the actress, playwright Arthur Miller, as well as from Marilyn friends - actors Clark Gable, Cary Grant and Jane Russell. In a letter to Miller Monroe wrote: "It is difficult to understand why you, the most unusual and beautiful person in the world, love me." In his reply Miller writes about his love for Marilyn, about his concerns about her health and emotional state, as well as about his children.

"We expect that will come Monroe fans from around the world" - said the head of the auction house Darren Julien, who arranges open exhibition in his gallery in Beverly Hills on December 5-6.

According to previous estimates, the collection will be sold more than for a 1MILLION DOLLARS.

Recall, that actress Marilyn Monroe died in 1962. She was married three times: to Jim Dougherty, Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller.
