Notre-Dame De Paris” on TV screens

Company producing television content FremantleMedia International (FMI) and director Roland Joffe joined forces to create the series of "Ugly". According to the magazine The Hollywood Reporter, Joffe will write the script based on the famous novel of Victor Hugo's "Notre Dame de Paris".

The plot of the series is around the life of a hero with physical disabilities on the background of social and economical events in France in early 17th century.

About upcoming project, Joffe said that ‘beauty may become a prison for those who have it and for those who want to possess it’. On the one hand, we all know what a beauty is. On the other hand, there are as many kinds of beauty as there are variants of love. Though physical beauty can contribute to the continuation of the human race, only the inner beauty is the guarantee that this race will not go out.
