Hungarian arts critic has found the lost 90 years ago avant-garde picture

Employee of the National Gallery in Budapest, Gergely Barki and his daughter were watching the movie "Stuart Little", filmed in 1999. In one scene, he noticed a painting of a Hungarian avant-garde artist Robert Bereny called "Sleeping woman with black vase".

"The picture appears in the film several times, so I was able to make sure I was not going crazy", - said Barki.

He contacted the Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures film companies, the producers of the film. Several years have been spent to find a woman, who was an artist-decorator in a family movie "Stuart Little." It turned out, that she bought the picture for $ 500 at the antique store in California directly for filming.

Not fully understanding the value of her finding, decorator returned "Sleeping woman with black vase" to Hungary, and 13 December the work is planned to be sold at auction in Budapest. Initial price of the famous artwork is 110 thousand dollars.
