Amy Adams was offered the lead role in the science fiction film “Story of Your Life”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will talk about alien invasion on Earth. Adams was invited to play a linguist. At the request of the military she has to establish contact with the aliens in order to understand what purpose they came to our planet with. After meeting with the aliens the heroine has flashbacks in which lies the key to understanding the visitors from outer space.

Film script based on the firstly published in 1998 eponymous story of Ted Chan, an American science fiction writer, winner of the Nebula and Hugo. Denis Villeneuve, director of the thriller «Prisoners» must make adaptation. Film’s shooting is planning to hold in 2015.

Now Amy Adams is starring in the Tim Burton film «Big Eyes». Burton’s picture will be released closer to the end of 2014.
