Director John Singleton will shoot Biographical film about the life of rapper Tupac Shakur. This was reported by Variety. The film supposedly will released in June 2014.

Singleton will complete the finale part of existing script (it was wrote by Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen Rivel) and become one of its producers. Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur will also be one of producers. Actor for the lead role  has not been appointed.

Information about an upcoming movie, appeared in 2010. Then Antoine Fuqua has been chosen as a film director. Later, however, the company Morgan Greek Productions, broke the contract with Antoine, because he has not been able to choose the appropriate script and leading actor.

John Singleton is familiar with the family of the deceased musician from childhood. He had long wanted to make a movie about Tupac Shakur. Among his most famous film works – “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Four Brothers”.

Tupac Shakur was murdered in 1996 in Los Angeles at age 25. The rapper is still considered one of the most influential figures in hip-hop culture. His album “All Eyez on Me” is among the best selling in the world.
