After the premiere of the film "The Wolf of Wall Street ", organized for members of the American Academy Award on the director’s (Martin Scorsese) picture hit a lot of criticism. Did not spared and performer starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Main witness of the scandal was 75 -year-old actress – Hope Holiday. What she immediately shared in Facebook: “Recently experienced real torture at the Academy: watching "Wolf of Wall Street". Three hours nightmare, disgusting, very tedious thing. After the film was a discussion in which many people were did not take part. One of the scriptwriters attacked Scorsese and DiCaprio because he was indignant with the film plot.

Viewers dissatisfaction really was not widespread – show ended with thunderous applause. Several spectators had left the room before the demonstration of a three-hour tape ended. But those were 70-year-old movie academicians.

Martin Scorsese also gave some comments about his cynical film: “I agree, the movie came out tough. I looked him in the hall with everyone and see how the audience reacts. Can hardly be said that this film for every taste, but I did not set out to please everyone. This tape is not for 14 -year-olds”.

The picture that tells the life story of a luxury real-life financial speculator Jordan Belfort successfully playing on Wall Street, but eventually convicted for financial crimes, contains candid shots and scenes of drug use. Perhaps these facts  confused academics.

However, Scorsese is known for his complex relationships with Hollywood academics. He was nominated for "Oscar" as the best director seven times, but he managed to win only once. Interestingly, the cult crime drama of Martin Scorsese "Casino" also did not win critics’ sympathy. But it was a cinema blockbuster!
