Deep Purple will shoot in Israeli series

Now the rock band is giving concerts in support of their last album “Now What?!”, that was released in April 2013.

But their future plans include the shooting in Israeli TV series “Atlantica”. The guys will play themselves, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will tell about a rock band from Jerusalem. One of the key characters in the series, the team manager and part-time teacher of history, play comedian Tal Friedman. Musicians fictional band are fans of Deep Purple. According to the story, they are trying to persuade idols sing with them on the same stage.

Filming will take place 22 and 23 February. On the same days Deep Purple will give two concerts in Jerusalem. Tal Friedman's The Fat Cats will also perform with rock band.
