Dealing in an utterly unique brand of hardcore street politics, Immortal Technique is the voice of a generation, articulating his outrage at oppression, hypocrisy and ignorance the world over like no one else, and collaborating with the likes of Mos Def, Chuck D of Public Enemy, Dead Prez and KRS-One as one of the all-time greats of Hip-Hop. Immortal emigrated from Peru to New York to escape civil war in the 1980s, growing up on the tough streets of Harlem and cutting his teeth on the free style and Battlerap circuits. He quickly gained a reputation as a ferociously skilled rapper, with his sharply articulated lyrics of activism and revolutionary solidarity between the oppressed peoples of the world.

Selling music on the streets and battling any and all challengers, Immortal funded his first album release through his rap battle victories, setting him on the path to his current status as an international Hip-Hop icon.
