The Sound Of Blue Note Biography

If you’re a fan of the classic Blue Note sound; that period from the mid 1950’s to early 1960’s then this gig is for you. Playing the classic compositions of Sonny Clark; Woody Shaw; Tina Brooks:Wayne Shorter; and Freddie Hubbard, The Sound Of Blue Note bring that vibrant sound back much as it would have been heard in it’s time. The band focus on playing the music as it was originally played and recorded rather than
arranged or modernised.

The band launched their first cd “Outside In”, at the Pizza Express, with Mark Nightingale as special guest, and have since played across the UK at places such asThe Bull’s Head, Barnes, Boisdale’s on Canary Wharf, as well as many other venues and festivals.
