Release Info:The 45th release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine Music welcomes Karolos Kostoglou to the label for a brand new single entitled 'Jammin'. The Greek producer has been pushing his deep house sound all throughout the first half of 2015 with great success. Releases on Catblack and Grooveonik have showcased his floor friendly grooves while a brand new remix of Roger Sanchez is currently doing the rounds in the underground. Now Karolos makes his debut on Dopamine Music with 'Jammin' which features a remix from Ataman Live.
The release begins with the 'Jammin' original which finds Karolos crafting an energetic dance floor bomb. Beginning with a funk fueled groove and clattering drums the piece quickly builds with strong claps and burly stabs. Big sax hooks and a 'here we go' vocal stab further ignites the party vibe while a drummy break provides the perfect prelude to a strong second half finish. A monster tune from Karolos.
The lone interpretation of 'Jammin' is provided by Ataman Live who are making their first appearance on Dopamine Music. Ivan and Svetlana hail from Crimea and make up the Ataman Live production duo. Their fusion of deep and techno sounds has caught the attention of Max Graham in recent months who has featured the duos 'Synthetic Vegetables' twice on his hugely popular Cycles radio show. For their 'Jammin' interpretation Ataman Live has toughened up the groove and reinterpreted the main motifs with more of a techno sensibility. The tribal infused drums and murky vocal stabs complement the brighter sax elements and female vox perfectly, and it's sits as a wonderful complement to the housier original and closes the release out on a strong note. A top notch release from Dopamine Music who opens their sonic envelope a few notches further with this one.
